With the prices of things on the rise nowadays, sporting goods have gone up as well. Fishing rods are included. To spend a few dollars to fix up an old or damaged rod does pay off. First if it was a cheap rod and inexpensive when you bought it and it’s falling apart ( guides, tip, thread etc) that’s why it was cheap to start with. Even some of the bigger brand name rods are being made with cheap parts and labor.

Don’t throw it in the garbage. When we restore a rod it gets all good quality parts including paint and epoxy. It will last longer then the original rod due to that. It will still be cheaper then going out and buying a new one. Restore guides,tip, paint and thread with epoxy is $50.00. Add on reel seat and grips another $20.00. But when finished you have a brand new rod.

Something to consider now days with all prices on the rise.
