Saturday PM trip 23’ American Red Snapper Season. 6 man limit. With that, we amassed 5 trips , 4 limits with one trip being weathered out, And we barely put a dent in this poorly over-managed resource that plagues our natural reefs. I’m looking forward to the SAMFC and FWC reporting 70-100,000 fish caught over the quota to which most of the public “voluntarily” gives that information to these entities to openly use against us. The only piece of advice I can give to anybody who actually gives a s**t about the future of our fishery is to actually show up to these meetings to better understand how this “science” is used to keep these fisheries closed. You just might find out some other very surprising information about their “plans” for other intentions to further regulate other areas of our fishery. Until then, we will see the reds back out there tomorrow 🤝
