The engine part that stopped my race halfway through. Hoping there is no other damage to the new engine. Bummed/disappointed, but this is racing.

Put a bit of time in last weekend to start on prep for the next race. New foam in the fuel cell for the two seat car and parts getting ordered soon for the new race engine.

After last race, I need to speed up 4 sec per mile to compete for the win in September race.

A week to think and start working towards the next race.

The 250 was like a tuff fight that ended with a kick in the nuts. Prerunning was cut short after a 1.5 laps due to the foam in the fuel cell breaking down and clogging the fuel line and filter. Race day, I was the first car off the line to start and quickly figured out 1st gear was going to be of no use in the tight corners. Mike Malloy got by me about RM 6 and the plan was to push to keep his dust in view. A couple miles passed halfway through the 2nd lap the PS belt came off followed by getting by about RM 28. This pushed the fuel stop up a lap with getting me back out without losing a position. The 3rd lap was good, but about RM 23 on the 4th I had to stop to change a flat. To my surprise I got back going without losing a position. The start of my last lap the motor had nothing for and as they passed me. With 4 miles to go the motor started to make bad noises and with less then 2 miles to go she finally gave up releasing everything out the top of the case. After 6 competitors raced by I was finally able to flag one down to get towed up to the finish to attempt the literally push the car across for an official finish of 9th of the 29 who started in class.
