It’s funny because it’s true.
Have you ever noticed that the second you start building momentum, life throws something at you? A tweaked shoulder. A sore knee. A cranky back. A cold. Something.
Here’s the reality: if you’re on a fitness journey, you’re probably going to deal with aches, pains, setbacks, and obstacles. If you’re not on a fitness journey, there’s a good chance you’ll still deal with aches, pains, setbacks, and obstacles.
You have to pick your hard.
The goal isn’t to avoid every injury or setback. The goal is to learn how to work around them when you can, be smart about your training, and focus on recovery just as much as you focus on your workouts.
I’ve trained through shoulder issues, hip pain, back pain, pregnancies, a car accident, and more.
Sometimes I pushed. Sometimes I modified. Sometimes recovery became the workout.
The strongest people aren’t the ones who never get hurt. They’re the ones who adjust, recover, and keep showing up.
Keep moving forward.
