Sometimes I'll take just pure luck.
I left the 308 ammo that I was sighted in with at home. Fortunately, I happened to find a mag of my experimental ammo with ftm bullets and knew they had a poi at was pretty close... but that worked out way better than expected.

This one's the winner. It's hard to go wrong with the Lehigh Xtreme Defense bullets. It's a 45 C**t round with the velocity and energy of a 7.62x39, but in 45 caliber. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs on wild pork with the extra 400 fps this time around. It was vicious even at 2000fps. This gonna be a good one!

I sure am glad I tested the trajectory of this ammo between 50, 75, and 100 yards ahead of time! It happens to be very flat in that range, so when this boar showed up at 85 yards and presented an excellent shot, it was game on!

It's only a 200fps reduction to go from a 16" barrel to a 10" barrel in 350 Legend. That seems like a fair trade.
