A message from Cate MacKenzie '19 who along with another St. Lawrence alum (Julia Hill) are running the Boston Marathon tomorrow as a part of Spaulding’s Race for Rehab team. As you may recall Lucy Stillman spent many months at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network...here is Cate's message, please consider supporting Cate and Julia's fundraising efforts. Thank you for all you do to support our SAINTS Field Hockey family.--Fran
Hey Saints!
I hope you are all doing well, I know it’s been a minute. I am reaching out with a favor to ask if you are up for it!
I am sure many of you (if not all) have heard about what Lucy has gone through this year and are keeping up with her progress. She’s crushing it back home in VT, but misses being at SLU with Fran on the sidelines. If you haven’t been tuned in to what Lucy has gone through this year, or you are looking for some updates, check out the links below!
Lucy spent a great deal of time at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network working to regain her mobility after she left MGH. Another St. Lawrence alum (Julia Hill) and I are running the Boston Marathon this spring as a part of Spaulding’s Race for Rehab team. I am getting there with my fundraising, but am in the home stretch.
As people that love Lucy, I was hoping you might feel compelled to contribute even $1 to my fundraiser to give back to Spaulding, a place that was tremendously helpful in getting her to where she is today. Please find donation link below if you are able, I would greatly appreciate the support! And, if a donation isn’t possible, I’d still encourage you to check out her progress via the links below!

I highly recommend watching this news clip that features Lucy and her family, as she shares her story finally from home. https://www.wcax.com/2022/02/21/young-vermonter-makes-remarkable-recovery-meningitis/
