This weekend was our last tournament as 11U Top Tier Watson. We battled some great teams along with natures wildfires 🫠 and blinding levels of chlorine. Even outside of our MVP winners, we had some incredible plays by our defense including but not limited to Juju with his ESPN worthy bare handed play at 2nd, and Jacob’s MLB dives to get the out. Congratulations to all of the boys for their incredible growth this season and to the parents for making this the best season yet.

On Monday, our team had the opportunity to work with a sports mental performance coach to focus on one of the most important parts of baseball—the mental game.

We discussed confidence, resilience, handling adversity, staying present, and controlling what we can control. Baseball is a game of failure and perseverance, and learning how to respond to challenges is just as important as developing physical skills.

We’re committed to helping our players grow not only as athletes, but as confident, resilient young people. A big thank you to our mental performance coach for sharing valuable tools that our players can use both on and off the field!

This weekend was our second to last tournament for the season. We headed to the Ortonville Summer Slam and came in second with lots to celebrate. We had Coach Grandpa’s birthday, lots of homerun hitters and TWO winners in the all tournament competitions. Congrats to all, we are so proud of how the boys competed.

Today we ended our KVBSA season and said goodbye to our field for another season. We got to end another great year with cupcakes and a big Birthday Celebration for our very own Miguel. Happy 12th bday to our guy. Thank you to Tony and Deanna for always making our team members feel loved. Two more tournaments!

We had our first “away” tournament in Battle Creek, this tournament gave us the opportunity to play against some of the top teams in Michigan and other states. We played lots of baseball and enjoyed each other in between.

We didn’t have our Homerun chain, but we did have some home run hitters!! Humberto out there hitting 2 homers in one gam...

We didn’t have our Homerun chain, but we did have some home run hitters!! Humberto out there hitting 2 homers in one game with Miggy showing his bat with his hot hit as well.
Good job to both Miggy and Humbe for putting power in play and to the boys for a 16-2 W.
Team ice cream after to celebrate 🎉 🍦 before we all take off for the holiday.
