Boys fought hard and played up against competition that were 2007s, and in some cases, 2006s. It was physical, but the boys handled themselves well, considering the size advantages they were giving up. The one win was the upset (https://youtu.be/uIdqYQCblWw) over the 07s! Sportsmanship & integrity. So proud of Rory!

🚨🚨CORE VALUES ALERT🚨🚨

Join us in congratulating Rory Sheridan (2008 Boys Futsal) for showing exemplary INTEGRITY at yesterday’s futsal game!
Here’s a note from his coach, Keith McCready: In a highly competitive game of futsal yesterday, an indirect throw from the goalkeeper ended up in the oppositions goal. The ref awarded a goal, as he said it touched the FCUSA player. Rory went to the ref and said that neither he nor the goalkeeper touched the ball and the goal should not stand.
Showing great honesty and INTEGRITY in the game, the opposition coach asked the ref to pause the game in order to thank Rory and shake his hand for his sportsmanship. Here’s a picture (taken after the game) of Rory with the opposing coach.

In a fitting end to the game, FCUSA won 5-4 with Rory clinching the game winning goal with only 45 seconds remaining.

Well done, Rory!
