I am pleased to announce that the SUNY Canton Roos House will be open, once again, for public use starting on May 17th, 2021. The hours of operation for the summer will be as follows:
Monday-Friday: 7am-7pm
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
Monday, May 31st (Memorial Day): CLOSED
Here are a few items to consider as we look to re-open to the public.
• The pool will not be open for the summer. Only the Fitness Center and Field House will be available.
• As capacity restrictions begin to ease to full capacity by May 19th, social distancing rules of 6ft are still in effect. Machines and equipment are setup based on this guideline, so we have taken out machines and equipment to accommodate this regulation.
• Masks are still required for workouts indoors.
• Membership reactivation has been automated for all users. In coordination with the company that manages our membership database, we have re-activated all users who had an active membership at the time of shutdown (March 17th, 2020) to resume their membership plans on May 17th with time owed. There is no charge to your account, only time was credited back to your plan. Please see me directly if you have issues, questions or concerns on your individual plan.
• Entrance to the building will be only through the main doors of the fitness center. The other entrance doors to the Roos House (Main Entrance at Ice Arena and rear access behind ice arena/back parking lot) will remain closed to reduce foot traffic outside of authorized areas of use in the building.
We are very excited to welcome you back to the Roos House after such a long shutdown. We do ask for your patience as we work through the re-opening process and try very hard to assimilate back into normalcy this summer.
