Congratulations to Harper Strack of our 2026 Canton Blades 14U Girls team on earning a spot at the 2026 USA Hockey Eastern Regional Development Camp to be held at the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

What began with more than 400 players from across New York at section tryouts in March was narrowed to fewer than 80 players at district tryouts in Skaneateles. From there, just 12 defenseman from the district (2011 birth year) were selected to attend either the USA Hockey National Development Camp or the Eastern Regional Development Camp, with just 4 additional players named as alternates.

Initially selected as an alternate, Harper's ranking at the district camp resulted in an invitation to attend the Eastern Regional 15 Development Camp.

The Eastern Regional Development Camp brings players from the New York District, Massachusetts District, Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association District (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware), and New England District (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut).

Congratulations to Myla Thomas and Brynlee Desrosiers and of our 2026 Canton Blades 14U girls team on being selected to attend the 2026 USA Hockey Eastern Select Camp at St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH.

What started with more than 400 girls across New York at section tryouts in March was narrowed down to fewer than 80 players at district tryouts in Skaneateles. From there, just 15 players from New York (2012 birth year) were selected for the USA Hockey Eastern Select Regional Camp.

An incredible accomplishment and well deserved recognition for all the hard work these girls have put in.

🥈 USA HOCKEY NATIONALS | SILVER MEDALISTS

The 14U Canton Blades cap off an incredible run at USA Hockey Nationals, finishing 2A Silver Medalists after a hard-fought battle with the #1 ranked Minnesota Lakers.

The Blades went 5-0 to reach the National Championship — leaving it all on the ice.

A back-and-forth final pushed into overtime, and ultimately a shootout, where the Lakers edged it out.

No quit. No regrets. Just heart. Simply incredible. What a season. What a team. Keep your heads up, girls, you earned it.

Set 2 from the Championship Game!

Unfortunately our 2025 - 2026 season is over. We ended the Championship game with a 5-5 Tie. Completed a 16 Minute OT 5 V 5 and unfortunately lost in a shoot out. The girls played their hearts outs today. Here are some pictures from the Championship Game.
