⚽ Age Group Realignment Coming 2026–27 ⚽

U.S. Soccer, U.S. Club Soccer, and U.S. Youth Soccer have officially announced a move to school-year–based age groups beginning in the 2026–27 season.

This means players will now be grouped based on the school year (Aug 1 – July 31) instead of the calendar year. 🗓

What this means for Georgia Impact families:

✔️ Alignment with school classmates
✔️ Elimination of “trapped year” situations
✔️ A stronger recruiting environment
✔️ Clearer long-term player pathways

This change will apply to all Georgia Impact programs, including Recreational.

Our club is already proactively preparing to ensure a smooth and organized transition for every team and family. Player development and clear communication remain our top priorities.
