These pictures tell the entire story of a phenomenal "all-team-effort" by these 10 hard-working young ladies!

Placing 3rd-seed in pool and having to play three teams who placed higher than you after pool-play to WIN the whole tournament … oh goodness ... three hard-fought games versus quality teams … that's grit, that's working hard, and that's Illinois Esprit Softball!

I'm so immensely proud of this entire team and the "All Out Effort" they gave over this 6-game weekend. Everyone contributed and did their job! That's all the coaches and I can ask for. It was so fun to watch this TEAM work together.

Congratulations, Ladies! A job well done!

Thank you to the parents, families, and fans for all of your support this weekend. Next stop, Kansas City!

So, who would have thought that we'd actually play this entire tournament as rain was looming. Mother Nature appeared to have other plans. But, well, we did. And, thank goodness God pushed the rain away! These ladies put together a fantastic 5-game run and took 2nd place at the Mother's Day Mania event in Columbia. I'm so very proud of how this group of ladies played as a team. Congratulations, Illinois Esprit 2007, you showed your grit, had a positive attitude throughout, played with focused intent, and gave each game 100% effort. Keep on believing in it, ladies! Well earned hardware, gang! And, on top of all that, each player presented their Mom's with a golden rose for Mother's Day. I love this team and their Moms who support us every step of the way! Go Esprit!

The ladies of Illinois Esprit 2007 gathered at Riverbend Family Ministries on Dec. 19 to spread a little Christmas cheer. Despite the times, it is still important to give back to the community - our team's 3rd Annual Holiday Service Project. In their volunteer time there these girls put together 80 Holiday Gift Baskets, including wrapping toilet paper! These baskets, full of donated household cleaning supplies and personal care products are given to the many families who are Ministered to by RFM's "Christmas Store". So thankful for this team, the volunteer moms, the other "elves" for their helping hands.

Nov 5th - This team of young ladies continually impresses me with their growth, development, resilience, and tenacity.

Congratulations to the Ladies of Illinois Esprit 2007 - Macam for taking 2nd place in the USSSA Fall League Tournament!

After 12 games and a 7-5 record, we played a tough fought game in the championship. You ladies definitely held your own against the eventual league champs, and have built yourselves up after two not-so-great games versus this same team. You competed, you didn't quit, and you stood your ground. I love the growth you've shown over these 6-weeks. It's fantastic!

Congratulations again for taking the runner-up spot! Well deserved and well earned.

Now, let's finish out the Fall season with a deep weekend run in Festus.
