I posted back in June about the closure of Red Rock Canyon State Park. The green is the area that will be closed to OHV. The red line is Hwy 14 and the Yellow line is RedRock/Randsburg Rd. The Center for Biological Diversity filed a lawsuit against State Parks for leaving two roads open for OHV. Until that lawsuit is settled, the park will be open OHV. Get out and enjoy your State park while you still can!

This sign reads;

This Structure served as a post office for this community. It is associated with several mines and claims that were worked during the Great Depression. It was most likely to have been constructed in the 30’s.

If you have been here before, you know that this is the middle of nowhere. Hard to believe it was once a working post office
