As we heard the news yesterday afternoon, it felt like it could not be real. We have been greatly saddened by the horrific accident that claimed the lives of 2 of our students and has scarred another for life. As a close knit family, the Canon Kung-Fu & Boxing Academy had been through good times and bad times. We have come together when things got rough, and shared many times of laughter with all of our students. These students were not only part of our job, they were part of our family. Many lives were changed yesterday afternoon, as the news was spread to each and everyone of us. We have lasting memories that will keep Timothy Hartman & Maleke Moon in our hearts forever. We all have to pull together for their families as they are mourning the loss of these precious young men, as well as for Sammy Parten and his family. It will be a long, tough transition for all of us, as we miss those smiling faces and the small things that made them our favorite people to be around. But with the help of everyone, we want to keep their memories alive. When we opened our school back in March of 2014, never would we have guessed that we would have made such a huge family at our facility. We love you all and hope that God will help us all deal with this tragedy in every manner. Sammy is a wonderful young man, and will need so much support from us. Please be there for him and his family members. We will let you all know as we hear more about funeral arrangements. We would like to have a get together at the school for anyone that would like to attend.
