Grant Slater has had a great career at Boyd County. During the state tournament he solidified his place as one of the best to ever wear the “B”.

On June 6 in the first inning of an Elite 8 win over University Heights, Grant broke the all time strikeout record at Boyd County with his 285th career strikeout. He currently sits at 294 career Ks.

On June 12, with a 6-2 win over McCracken County to send our team to the state championship, Grant broke the all time wins record. He now sits atop the wins list with 28 victories on the mound.
