Founded in 1990, Thunderbird developed from a hobby into a full-time business, and is now known worldwide as the premiere manufacturer of atlatls, darts and accessories. Candor is a small village located just south of the Finger Lakes Region about equidistant from Ithaca to the north, Elmira

to the southwest and Binghamton to the southeast. You are welcome to drop by during business hours and check out our atlatls and darts (but call us first!).

The 36th annual gathering of the Genesee Valley Flintknappers is just over a month away! The event takes place at Letchworh State Park on the Mt. Morris side of the park. (Highbanks Recreation Area) from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Come out and try the atlatl this weekend at our shop at 90 Main Street in Candor! Also vist the annual Candor Daffodil Festival while you are in town. Local atlatl contests and ISACs will be held at the Thunderbird Atlatl shop (90 Main Street) in Candor, NY during Candor’s annual Daffodil Festival. Contests will take place on the Thunderbird Atlatl grounds on Saturday, April 25, from noon to 5 p.m. On Sunday, April 26, there will be local contests and ISACs from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.
