The objective of the Local League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens. Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls 4-5 years o
ld who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball. Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this introduction level of Little League. Coaches Pitch Division :
Coaches Pitch League Baseball is for boys and girls 5-6 years old. In the Coaches Pitch Division, the objective is to build team-skills and develop personal skills. More emphasis is placed on hitting techniques than in the T-Ball division.
** Canastota Little League reserves the option to combine T-Ball and Coaches Pitch named as Fireflies based on registrations. Minors Baseball and Softball Divisions:
Minor League Baseball programs for boys and girls with less experience and is "player pitch". The minor league may be players ages 7-10 (based on skill). All players in this age group required to attend evaluations prior to the season. Major Baseball Division :
The Major Baseball Division a 46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths. This division may be players 9-12 year old (based on skill). Majors Softball Division:
The Majors Softball Division is for players ages 9-12. The field uses a 60-foot diamond and a 40 foot pitching distance. Boys Senior League:
The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys ages 12-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Girls Senior League:
