Noise, Smoke, and Freedom: Get Ready for the Liberty Volley at America 250!
Hi Everyone,
If there is one event that is going to be the absolute highlight of our America 250 Celebration on Saturday, July 18th, it is the Liberty Volley.
The Liberty Valley is our club's centerpiece for the day—a dedicated space where we are coming together to celebrate our country's founding, our hard-won freedoms, and our cherished Second Amendment. And as a gun club, standing on the shoulders of our forefathers, there is only one proper way to celebrate our right to bear arms: by making a whole lot of noise!
We’ll have a fantastic lineup of fi****ms, including shotguns, rifles, pistols, and traditional black powder rifles.
Safety First, Fun Second
Before we get to the loud stuff, let's talk safety. Because this is a dynamic event, we have fully vetted, ironclad safety protocols in place. We will have trained Range Officers embedded directly on the firing line to ensure the entire day runs smoothly, safely, and professionally. You can bring your family down with absolute peace of mind.
How the Liberty Volley Works: Choose Your Own Adventure
Every participant can step up to the line and fire up to three rounds, choosing their own adventure:
• Pistol shooters: Up to 3 rounds.
• Rifle shooters: Up to 3 rounds.
• Shotgun shooters: Up to 3 rounds.
• Black powder shooters: 1 round.
You can choose to fire one, two, or all three rounds. You also get to choose the firearm—and this is where things are going to get highly entertaining.
The Lineup (and the Noise!)
If I were stepping up to shoot, I’d be grabbing my Mini-14. It is easily the loudest rifle I own, and it lets people know it's there! However, as your Master of Ceremonies, I’ll be keeping my hands free to shout out instructions and keep the crowd focused.
Instead, I'll be watching some of our members bring out the real showstoppers:
• We have one rifleman bringing out a classic, heavy-hitting Sharps Rifle chambered in the legendary .45-70 Government (the ultimate buffalo-hunting cartridge of the Old West). I expect to see a lot of hunting rifles.
• Our black powder enthusiasts are going to step up and create a massive, beautiful cloud of white smoke.
• Our shotgun guys will be on the line doing what they do best, pepper the skies.
• And pistol guys – magnums all the way!
When we unleash all of that fire power at once, it is going to make a ton of noise—and honestly, that is exactly the point: “The shot heard ‘round the county”.
This is our day to celebrate. We hope to see every single one of you standing on the line with us on July 18th to honor our heritage. Safety meeting is at 11:45.
See you at the Volley,
Lee Edgcomb
