Basic Membership starts at $79/month and covers up to two athletes in the same household.

Your All-Access Cage Pass includes cage and pitching-machine access across the Velocity network: Canal Fulton, North Canton and Greentown.

Choose your time, reserve a cage and get to work. Reservations are subject to availability. HitTrax is a separate charge on Basic.

Is lifting OK for a 12-year-old? It's the first question most parents ask, and it's a fair one.

The NSCA's position is that a properly designed and supervised program is appropriate at this age. Here's how we run Middle School Strength & Speed:

• Eight athletes, two coaches. Nobody lifts alone.
• Technique before load.
• Week 1 force plate and sprint testing decides where each athlete starts.
• Height and weight are tracked at every test.
• Athletes are retested before the holiday break and in week 12.

Grades 6 to 8, baseball and softball. Starts Nov 17 at Canal Fulton. $699 for 12 weeks, and a $100 deposit holds the spot. Send us a message and we'll get you the registration link.

Every VIP class for the 26-27 season is full except one.

We added a Sunday class to make room: 1:15 to 3:15 PM at Velocity Canal Fulton, starting Sunday, November 1. Grades 9 to 12, plus select 8th graders through the movement screen and throwing evaluation.

Every athlete starts with a licensed physical therapist's screen. Then Trackman, video and a biomechanics capture show where the delivery is leaking. We re-test on a schedule, and if the numbers don't move, the plan changes.

Same number on the gun in August as in March?

That's not an effort problem. It's a measurement problem. A lead leg that never blocks. A pelvis that fires late. An arm still coming up when the front foot lands. You can't see it from behind the backstop, and more throwing won't fix it.

Your athlete steps on a force plate and jumps. In under a second it measures how much force they produce and how fast they produce it.

That number is where their program starts. Week 1 sets the baseline. We test again before the holiday break and in week 12, so you see what changed.

Your Velocity membership just got more room. Greentown adds five cages, including three pitching machines—bringing our network to three buildings, 14 cages and five machine cages.

Train at Canal Fulton, North Canton or Greentown. Every membership covers up to two athletes in the same household.

New this winter: Velocity Middle School Strength & Speed, for baseball and softball players in grades 6 to 8.

Week 1, every athlete is tested on our force plates and timing gates. Those numbers build their lifting program. Then two coached sessions a week at Canal Fulton, a printed home workout, and a retest in week 12 that parents come watch.

8 athletes and 2 coaches per group. Two groups. 16 spots total.

$699 for 12 weeks. A $100 deposit holds the spot. Starts Nov 17.
