Last day ski mountaineering w/ (Liz Hamilton)for her (Wilderness Medicine) fellowship. Not as sunny as hoped for, but great opportunity to practice white-out navigation/hand rails, decision-making, risk management, roped ski travel (up & down) and boot crampons/ice axe in soupy snow on the (Stone Glacier) in Switzerland. We even found a few good turns! ⛷🏔 ⛄️

The PdJ (Patrouille des Jeunes=Youth Patrol) Is a team ski mountaineering race for ages 8 to 18. There were 400 participants in this 2-person race yesterday. Supported by the youth sports administration and local shops.
