OPERATIONS + FINANCE COORDINATOR
A leadership-focused role supporting the behind-the-scenes systems that help our business thrive.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting daily operations & team systems
• Bookkeeping and financial organization
• Staff support & scheduling
• Improving systems and operational flow
• Helping guide intentional business growth

Ideal for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, trustworthy, and excited about small business operations and outdoor recreation.

🏔️ OFFICE ASSISTANT
Perfect for someone who enjoys organization, hospitality, and variety in their work.
A people-focused role supporting clients through reservation management, Via Ferrata instruction, and daily operations.

Responsibilities include:
• Managing reservations, phones, emails & texts
• Greeting and checking in clients
• Supporting daily office operations
• Facilitating Via Ferrata orientations and rescues
• Supervise climbers on the Via Ferrata course
• Helping maintain a welcoming, organized facility

Ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.

👀 You all asked for more Poe in action… so here he is once again on snake removal duty 🐍

Swipe to test your copperhead spotting skills 👉 These sneaky friends are very good at hiding 😅

This copperhead decided to hang out a little too close to the Via Ferrata course, so Poe stepped in as our unofficial Snake Relocation Specialist and safely moved our spicy little friend to a better spot away from traffic.

The Gorge is full of incredible wildlife and sometimes they’re better camouflaged than we’d like 👀

🧗‍♀️ Weekly Climbing Conditions Report | 6/12–6/14 🧗

It’s shaping up to be a warm June weekend in the Gorge with generally good climbing weather, especially if you’re chasing shade! Keep an eye on Sunday afternoon, when storms may roll in.

☁️ Friday (6/12)
Cloudy skies with some clearing later in the day. Highs in the low 80s. A decent day to get out, especially if you’re looking for slightly cooler temps than we’ve been seeing.

🌤 Saturday (6/13)
A mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the mid 80s and a little lower humidity. Expect warm conditions, but overall a pleasant day to climb, hike, or get outside.

⛈ Sunday (6/14)
A chance of showers in the morning with a higher likelihood of thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Highs around 80. If you’re planning to climb, earlier in the day will likely be your best bet.

🚙 Road Conditions:
The Lode hill is in decent shape, but as always, use caution after rain and expect a few slick spots. We always recommend AWD/4WD to help keep the hill in good condition as long as possible.

🧗 Crag Conditions:
With warm temps and recent moisture, expect some humidity and slower drying in shadier areas. South-facing walls may feel especially warm. Now is the time to chase shade and airflow!

Join us for an evening of plants, community, and time outside! 🌱

We’ll start with a guided nature walk through the trails on the Southeast Mountain Guides property to learn about some of the incredible flora of the Red River Gorge. Afterward, we’ll gather on the back deck for a plant swap + propagation hang.

Got a plant, cutting, or propagation to share? Bring it along! No plant to swap? Come anyway! There will be plenty of plant babies to propagate and share. Soil + propagation pots will be provided. 🪴

👀 Keep an eye on our stories over the next week for sneak peeks of some of the plant babies that will be up for grabs at the swap!

We can’t wait to hang out, swap plants, and spend a summer evening together 🌿

Just another day at work 😅🐍

One of the many things our Via Ferrata crew does behind the scenes to keep the course running smoothly for our guests… relocating the occasional ledge-dweller.

Huge shoutout to Poe for safely moving this little guy along so everyone could get back to enjoying the adventure. Guiding the Via Ferrata sometimes means coaching clips, sharing stoke, and apparently… snake wrangling.

No snakes were harmed, just politely encouraged to find a new hangout spot. 😉
