I had bought a large solar street light for the pool area. We were planning on installing it last weekend and it would have lit the entire pool plus a piece of the dock. Unfortunately, someone needed one and instead of buying it like I did, they just took ours. It makes me really sad that people have no respect for other people’s property and they feel entitled to just take what they want. It’s also sad that I now have to install security cameras just to keep an eye on people and what they do.

Hey everyone!!! As cute as the kittens are, we’ve got to stop petting them and playing with them. They are barn cats and the more used to people they get, the more likely they will get hurt. They have a little heated house, in fact 2 hheated houses, in the machine shed. If you ignore them they will go back in the machine shed. That is where they are fed and where they can stay warm. Thanks!

I got a call from a man who was involved somehow in an accident, either in it or helping. During it, his dog escaped the car. It’s a silver pit with a white face named Gunner. He’s friendly and approachable. He’s microchipped and has all the info on his collar. He’s wearing a black sweater with “Best Friend” on it. If you see the dog, please call Stephen Moore at 630 346-7304 or 773 218-5310.

As many of you know, Trouble disappeared a couple of months ago. She was such a good farm cat raising and watching out for every animal that was born here. There has been no sign of her, but in my heart I’m hoping someone took her and she is getting all the hugs and pets she deserves.

In the meantime, while we were at a herding clinic in late August, there were barn kitties that were just the right age to bring home. We have had them in a crate in the machine shed so they get used to where they are but today, they were set free! We now have 2 little kittens running around. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THEM AND SLOW DOWN!!!!! I’ve talked to several people that think because they are a few minutes late, they can fly down the driveway, NO!

Monkey is the browner one and Mo is the little grey one.
