Everyone at Campbellsville Country Club is cheering on Seth Smith as he competes on Monday, June 8, in the United States Open Final Qualifier at The Lakes Golf & Country Club in Westerville, Ohio.
Seth is one of only 9 amateurs in the 80-player field and will be competing against some of golf’s biggest names, including Lucas Glover and fellow Campbellsville native J.B. Holmes, a five-time PGA Tour winner.
Seth earned his spot by firing an impressive 5-under-par 67, finishing tied for second at the qualifying round held at The Vineyard Country Club in Naples, Florida.
Adding to the special moment, Seth’s father, Binky Smith, will be on the bag as his caddie for what is known as “Golf’s Longest Day.” The Golf Channel will provide 10 hours of coverage beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET and continuing until midnight, featuring live updates from qualifying sites across the country.
