Academy of Fencing Masters develops all level of fencers, from beginners to Olympic athletes, through It is a place where parents want to take their children.

AFM takes a completely different approach to the fencing experience, by looking at developing the fencer not only as an athlete but also as a valued individual in society. A place that we hope will feel like home. This is what Academy of Fencing Masters seeks to achieve: a love for life through the art of fencing. Our name refle

cts our core principles. An academy is where learning takes place; here fencers will learn about fencing and how to apply those skills to life. Fencing, a sport of intelligence and strength, trains the body and mind to work together with a mental acuity and physical prowess that few other sports demand. Combined with a code of conduct, fencing develops the whole person and the whole family by extension. By having a vibrant and supportive community for individuals and families to train and develop in, Academy of Fencing Masters takes the training experience beyond that of a student learning about fencing to an individual learning about life.

Fortune ROC/RJCC/RYC — Junior Men’s Eppe - another fantastic team performance by our AFM boys—three Top 8 medals! Steven Wu — Bronze medal! Sangwook Park — 6th place and A26 renewal rating! Grayson Li — 7th place and earned A rating once again!
Michael Tang — 16th place!

Steven fenced amazing in this strong competition and brought home the bronze medal! Sangwook and Grayson continued their incredible weekend with two more Top 8 finishes and A-rating performances. Their consistency across several events is absolutely stunning!

What an amazing performance by our AFM girls—three Top 8 medals and two new A ratings! Wow!

🥉 Nicole Wang — Bronze medal and earned her A26 rating! Incredible!
🏅 Emma (Yixin) Li — 6th place and earned her A26 rating! Wow!
👏 Angel Mollinier — 11th place

Tessa fenced a fantastic competition, powering her way to the final bout and bringing home the silver medal!

Nicole had an absolutely stunning day—bronze medal and a jump from C to A - being at the very beginning of her first year in Y14, literally in the first comeptitions! Congrats! Emma just came back after a long injury, and we are so happy to see her back on strip! She also delivered an impressive performance, finishing 6th and making the big jump from C to A!

Two new A ratings mean two more “A Cakes” for our sweet AFM celebration! 🎂🎂 Maybe its time for Apples, Asparagus and Avocados? :)) What do you think?

What an incredible performance by our AFM cadet men!
🥇 Sangwook Park — CHAMPION and A26 rating! Way to go!
🥉 Grayson Li — Bronze medal and A26 rating! Amazing!
👏 David Kofman — 14th place
👏 Zachary Szeto — 16th place and earned his C26 rating! Wow!

Sangwook fenced with strength, confidence, and determination to take the gold! Grayson delivered another fantastic performance, winning bronze and earning the third time in three days the A rating - this is absolutely stunning achievemtn! Fortune ROC/RJCC/RYC — Div I-A Men’s Épée. Amazing job by our AFM boys!
🥉 Luke Guo fenced absolutely stunningly, winning the bronze medal and earning his A rating! WOW! Luke worked incredibly hard all summer—National preparation camps, classes, private lessons—and brought a burning desire to grow and become the best version of himself. His hard work paid off! Bravo, Luke!
At AFM, we have a sweet tradition: every new A rating means an “A Cake”—and we cannot wait to celebrate and taste this one! 🎂

Sangwook Park earned a fantastic 5th-place medal and renewed his A26 rating! His fencing was joyful to watch—strong, confident, and fearless!

And we expect one more A Cake from Grayson Li, who impressively finished 8th and also earned his A26 rating! After his fantastic national medal in Portland, what an amazing finish to last season and start to the new one!
