Daammmnn 😂😂
I’ve been in the gym consistently since my sophomore year in HS (2005), but for the first 7 or 8 years I had no idea what I was doing. All I knew was I wanted to bench a lot of weight, so I mainly stuck with that. And as you can see, I didn’t really know much about dieting either. One thing I still deal with today as I did back then, was whenever I tried to cut weight, the progress would be so minimal and so slow, I felt that it wasn’t working, and I was cursed with a bad metabolism and bad genetics. But the reality is, depending on where your starting point is, you might see progress in the first few weeks, or you might not. But the key is to stay consistent! Don’t get discouraged when you look in the mirror a week or two after starting your new lifestyle, and you aren’t noticing any changes. If you’re following your plan to the T, be patient and the results will slowly reveal themselves. Sometimes I would find myself getting so caught up in watching the scale move, that if it didn’t, I would say f*ck it and binge eat for the next few days, and set myself back even further. It wasn’t until I started trusting the process, that I started finally seeing the results. I had days when I would mess up, eat out or have one too many drinks, but instead of letting that carry on throughout the week, I would catch myself and pick up where I left off. Stay consistent, and most of all have patience. The results will come 👊🏽
