Good Evening!

We wanted to reach out to you concerning the state of the 2020 CLA Basketball League schedule.

We received a message from the Central Pennsylvania Basketball Officials Association indicating that, effective immediately, they have suspended assigning officials for ALL
basketball games due to the situation involving the Corona Virus. This action is not for our league only but for all levels of basketball in central Pa. There is currently no date set for officials to return to the court.

With this being the case, the league has no options but to suspend the 2020 CLA Basketball schedule immediately. Unfortunately, we have no information on the duration of this suspension or when the officials will begin to officiate games again.

We, as an administration board, will work to provide with a satisfactory solution to get this season completed. Once we determine the severity of the postponement, we will communicate the plan of action as soon as possible.

We have tried to streamline it and make it much more user friendly while providing you with all the information that is pertinent to the league. Upcoming games, results and standings are currently available, with more in depth information coming soon.

The season begins a week from today!!

We have successfully secured time slots on Monday nights starting January 6th for the 2020 league. It will continue every Monday night for 12 -15 weeks of regular season games and every team will be guaranteed 1 playoff game after the regular season. There will be four time slots that include 6, 7, 8, and 9 pm. In the event there are more teams than one night can accommodate, all attempts will be made to secure another evening to play in addition to Monday. The league fee for this season will be $500 and each team will be responsible for paying on referee fee each week of $35. Each team will be able to choose between the A and B division. We would like to invite you to be part of the CLA Fall Basketball League. This league will be limited to the first 8 teams to pay their league fee. We have successfully secured time slots on Monday nights starting September 10th for the CLA Fall Basketball league. It will continue every Monday night for 7 weeks of regular season games and finish with 3 weeks of playoffs, culminating with the championship game on November 12th. There will be two nightly time slots that include 7 and 8 pm. Every team will be guaranteed 7 regular
season games plus 1 playoff game after the regular season. This will be a one division league, with all teams playing the other 7 teams in the league once. The team fee is $500, plus each team will be responsible to pay a referee fee of $35 each week. Payment will secure your team a spot in the league and a total of only 8 teams will be accepted. The interest in the league is high so please secure your spot as soon as possible.
