200 LBS OF GRANULAR VS. 3 LIQUID APPLICATIONS
It’s Not About Pounds. It’s About Availability.

The Scenario:

Clover plot soil test:
pH: 5.8
CEC: 3
Organic Matter: 2.6%

Granular 10-10-10 at 200 lbs/acre:

Applies 20 lbs N, 20 lbs P₂O₅, 20 lbs K₂O

But low CEC, low organic matter, and borderline pH can limit how much the plant actually uses.

Potential Problems:
Low CEC = poor nutrient holding
Low organic matter = less biological nutrient cycling
pH 5.8 = reduced nutrient availability
Heavy application = more risk of tie-up, leaching, and waste

3 Applications of GRO 4-8-16 Liquid:

Feeds during the growing season
Absorbs directly into plant tissue
Added Micronutrients and Humics
Bypasses many soil limitations
Improves efficiency and plant response
Matches nutrition to plant demand

Bottom Line:
Granular fertilizer measures pounds applied.
Liquid fertilizer focuses on nutrients used.
