Grief doesn't always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes it's the loss everyone sees — the hospital bed, the eulogy, the voicemails you can't delete. But sometimes it's the losses people don't always recognize — a friendship ending, a divorce, a career shift, a childhood you're still making sense of.

All of it is grief. All of it deserves space. And none of it has to be carried alone.

Meet Pat!
Pat has been in a foster home for several months now, so this Saturday (April 11) is your chance to meet him in person! Pat will be in the shelter from 11am-1pm to meet potential adopters. And we’ll be there to answer any questions you might have about him.

From this foster “Pat’s dog friendly and people friendly. He’s great in the car and house trained. He’s been to several events and did great. He loves to play with toys (especially tug with a rope toy), perch on a bench and look out the window, go for walks, and learn new tricks. He would make a great family dog as well as great companion to almost anyone. He’s visited classrooms, went to a farmer’s market, and also to a hockey game! He’s loves action, but he also loves a kong and a cuddle.”

Walk when:
- you’re having a difficult conversation
- you just got bad news
- you’re with a child who’s having a tantrum or a huge reaction “ok let’s walk together” get them moving
- you’re having therapy (if using telehealth or by phone especially)
- you’re feeling irritable and don’t know why
- you have to give someone bad news
- you wake up groggy
- you have brain fog or feel like your brain is “shut off”
- you want to text something you might regret
- you have to make a big decision
- your brain won’t stop replaying the conversation
- you want to connect with consciousness, god, or the universe
- you want to forgive yourself

I made this cozy chai coconut chia pudding for our yoga pot luck and again at our educator self-care, Retreat . Many of you asked if I could share the recipe so here you go! It’s simple, nourishing, and perfect to make ahead.💛

🥥 Chai Coconut Chia Pudding (Serves ~5)

Ingredients:
• ¾ cup chia seeds
• 2½ cups coconut milk
• 1¼ cups chai concentrate (like Tazo)
• 2–3 tbsp maple syrup
• ½–1 tsp vanilla
• small pinch of salt

Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl, add:
• coconut milk
• chai concentrate
• maple syrup
• vanilla
• salt
Whisk well.
2. Slowly add chia seeds while whisking (this helps prevent clumps).
3. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
4. Stir again really well (this step is important for a smooth texture).
5. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).

😎Next Day:
Give it a stir and adjust if needed:
• Too thick → add a splash of coconut milk
• Too thin → add 1 tbsp chia seeds, wait 20 minutes
• Not sweet enough → add a little maple syrup

✨ Optional Mix-Ins (after it’s set):
Stir these in or add on top before serving:
• fresh berries or sliced banana
• diced apples or pears
• toasted coconut flakes
• chopped walnuts or pecans
• granola
• sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
• crushed gingersnap cookies or graham crackers
• drizzle of honey or extra maple syrup

It’s super flexible and easy to make your own. Let me know if you try it! 💛
