El Dorado Youth Trap Team

El Dorado Youth Trap Team We are the California Youth Shooting Sports trap shooting team for youth for El Dorado County/Placerville area.

Trap shooting practice and competitions teach safety and responsibility as well as fun competition with girls and boys competing alongside. Our team in 2022 currently has 4 coaches, 6 junior coaches and 35 registered shooters (age 10-20) and will compete against over 700 shooters from Northern California (see www.shootcyssa.com for more information) this spring. Our practices are hosted weekly at the El Dorado Gun club.

Last night many of our athletes helped at the 3rd annual Gold Country Kids event hosted by Gun Owners of California and supported by sheriffs Leikauf and Redman. This event directly supports youth shooting sports in El Dorado and Amador counties. It was a great turnout and wonderful to see the support of the communities for our sport.
