Mark your calendars!
Saturday, July 27th will be the Cameron Park Lake Pro Shop's first $5 day! What's a $5 day, you ask? That's when we set up a special section outside of the shop and sell old inventory at ridiculously low prices. We will have over 1000 brand new discs for sale at $5 each, and even better pricing for bulk purchases!
The sale will last from 7:30am until 1pm on Saturday July 27th.

Regular shop hours update:
For the next few weeks, we will be open every Saturday from 7:30am-2pm (regular summer hours) and Sundays by announcement here.

**Weekend Park closure announcement**

This coming weekend, Cameron Lake Park will be completely closed Friday (6/21) while parks staff sets up for the Summer Spectacular. This also applies to the disc golf course.

Saturday (6/22) the park will be closed until the gates open for the Summer Spectacular at 3pm. The course is closed all day.

On Sunday (6/23), the park and course will reopen in the afternoon. In the morning, the CSD is asking anyone who can volunteer to help clean up the park to show up at 7:30am to assist. The sooner the park is cleaned up, the sooner it can reopen.

Because of this, the Pro Shop will not be open this coming weekend except during the Summer Spectacular on Saturday from 3-10PM. To make up for it, we will be open the following weekend during these hours:
Friday (6/28) 12pm-4pm
Saturday (6/29) 8am-2pm
Sunday (6/30) 8am-12pm

*** Announcement ***

Effective immediately, the disc golf course at Cameron Park Lake is under new management, and we have a lot of exciting news to share! Going forward, myself (Chris McCole) and Mike Berry of Bomber Disc Golf will be taking over day to day operations and maintenance of the course, along with running leagues and tournaments. I will be running the pro shop, which will be reopening soon (more on that below).

The Course: Thanks to a ton of hard work from Brad Carroll and his crew at the CSD, a lot of the fairways have been mowed and are in great shape. We are going to host a course clean-up next Sunday, May 26th at 9:00am to address the areas the tractor can't reach, featuring a free BBQ lunch from Bomber and a pro shop credit for each volunteer. More details on that to come in a separate post.

The Pro Shop: The pro shop will reopen with regular hours soon! There will be a soft opening happening in the next couple weeks, with regular Friday-Sunday hours to come shortly thereafter.

Scrip: If you have scrip from previous tournaments at CP, you can redeem it at the pro shop anytime during 2024. All scrip will expire on January 1st, 2025. Please come in and redeem your scrip soon!

Leagues and Tournaments: There are already three new events on DGS, with more to come, including the return of the Birthday Bash, and regular leagues, doubles, and more!

The Club: It's important to us that Cameron Park has its own club, with authority to run leagues, events and work days and its own elected board of directors. We are targeting 2025 for the first set of elections, and in the meantime Mike and I will run the club with help from Warren Cook and Tim Losser.

Finally, we want to say thank you to the outgoing management for all of the work they did establishing this course and running it for all these years. Without the hard work of Sharon Keoppel and EDDS, there would be no course to take over, and we appreciate the time and energy they put into it.
