Elise spun trying to avoid the kart that spun in front of her, then got hit from behind.
At first, I didn't think there was much damage. Once we got the kart on the stand, we realized the impact had actually bent the frame upward.
Thankfully, we were able to get it on a frame table, straighten everything back out, and get her kart ready to go again.
Sometimes the damage you can't see right away is the worst part.

Sometimes coaching isn’t about lap times or where to brake.

Just a little reminder to trust yourself and go do what you know how to do.

Sometimes practice is just practice. And sometimes it’s getting to go out there with your kids, trade passes, push each other around and just have fun.

What a night for Asher and Elise. Rain for the pre-final, racing under the lights for the final, and their best combined results of the season.

Elise was under pressure during the final and held on to P2. Asher capped off the night with the win.

Definitely a proud dad moment. I think I was more proud watching these two and what they accomplished Saturday night than I’ve ever been after one of my own wins.

I was inside the track pointing to the apex in one corner because Elise was running wide and needed to tighten up her line.

Randall saw what we were working on. He got in front of her, slowed down, and let her follow his line for a few laps.

Moments like this are a great reminder that some of the best coaching happens on the track.
