The School of Delaware Ballet The School of Delaware Ballet Classes begin at age 3 with our Tiny Dancer Program and advance to our pre-professional Company Program.

Owned and directed by Brittany Faulkingham, The School of Delaware Ballet is dedicated to providing students with outstanding ballet and pointe training. Supplementary classes are offered in jazz, tap, and lyrical to develop versatility and encourage artistic expression in our students. Formerly Central Delaware Dance Academy, the School of Delaware Ballet carries out the artistic vision of prior owners/directors Marion Tracy (Marion Tracy Dance Studio) and Daniel Kaiser (Central Delaware Dance Academy), and strives to maintain and continue the legacy of its past. On our year-round faculty are Daniel Kaiser, former soloist with the Pennsylvania Ballet, Brittany Faulkingham, owner/director of the School of Delaware Ballet and Artistic Director of the Delaware Ballet, Jeffrey Gribler, former Principal Dancer and Ballet Master with Pennsylvania Ballet, Ryan Batchelor, UArts alumni, and Noel Land, UArts and Delaware Ballet alumni.

Spotlight: Christian’s Next Chapter

Christian Smith has been offered and is accepting a position in the Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship Program with Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, one of the country’s most prestigious dance schools. This scholarship is an elite, all-inclusive training opportunity for aspiring male dancers, designed to fast-track students through intensive physical and technical training.
Christian received a full tuition scholarship to Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s Summer Program, where he has enrolled. He also received a full tuition scholarship to The Sarasota Ballet’s Summer Intensive, a 75% tuition scholarship to the School of Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive, and a full tuition and housing scholarship to Carolina Ballet. In addition, Christian was awarded a $100 cash scholarship from Regional Dance America Northeast.
We are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and excited to see him continue growing and thriving in this next chapter of his journey.

Lily Gibbs, a 2026 homeschool graduate, plans to pursue a professional dance career in New York City following graduation. She received multiple scholarship offers from BFA dance programs before choosing to defer her admission to Point Park University’s Honors College for a year of professional auditions and training in New York City.
During high school, Lily earned several scholarships through Regional Dance America, as well as a grant from the Maple Peace, Love, Sunshine Foundation. She was named Outstanding Soloist in 2025 and was a Featured Performer in 2026. She attended summer intensives at Carolina Ballet, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet, receiving partial scholarships.
In addition to her accomplishments in dance, Lily received an Honorable Mention in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for poetry and won several graphic design competitions. This summer, she will attend the Verdon Fosse Legacy Intensive Training Program.
She also received a $500 cash scholarship from Regional Dance America Northeast as well as a $1,500 grant from the Maple Peace, Love, Sunshine Fund. ⭐️🎓

Bryden Nesbit is a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School. He will be attending Coppin State University, where he will major in Biology and Life Sciences while continuing his dance training. Bryden is an AP Scholar with Distinction and has received both the First-Generation Recognition Award and the School Recognition Award.
He has also been awarded full-tuition scholarships to the Chocolate Ballerina’s Ballet Bootcamp as well as The Tap Intensive.
Bryden’s dedication, talent, and commitment to both academics and the arts have set a strong foundation for his future. Wishing him continued growth, success, and confidence as he steps into this next chapter. 🌟🎓
