Ouachita County Fire District #1 Ouachita County Fire District #1 is a volunteer fire department in Ouachita County Arkansas.

Ouachita County Fire District #1, is committed to the service of our community. Our organization is proud of our selfless men and women willing to leave their family to fulfill the needs of others. O.C.F.D. #1 consists of 4 fire stations, over 25 volunteer firefighters and 14 fire trucks.The main station is located at Harmony Grove with substations at Lakeside, Pine Lake and Amy.

The Bunker Fire at Highland Industrial Park is approximately 2,000 acres. The fire has containment lines around 75 percent of the perimeter. Total containment is estimated at 35 percent. Fifteen homes and approximately 150 workers were evacuated. Residents have been allowed to return. Zero structures have been lost and no injuries reported. State and federal resources continue to work the fire.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northern Ouachita County until 9:00 p.m. Thursday.

At 8:20 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles south of Arkadelphia, moving southeast at 25 mph.

60 mph winds and nickel-sized hail is likely. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of the building you are in.
