Middle School TEC at Centerville

Lincoln wrestlers had some exciting and nail-biting matches at conference this weekend. They displayed a lot of heart and passion for the sport, listening to their corner, adapting to situations, and fighting until the very end. With the 4 wrestlers we have we were still able to place 8th out of 9 teams. Great day of wrestling Eagles!

132 lbs - Caden Alvarez 5th place
140 lbs - Brendan Dawson 5th place
195 lbs - Logan Gines 2nd place

A short day today for our County Meet but overall some great wrestling from our Lincoln Eagles!

110lb -Jakob Liggett places 2nd
125lb - Brendan Dawson places 3rd
132lb - Caden Alvarez places 3rd
195lb - Logan Gines places 1st

We have finally made it to the State Series of wrestling, all year the kids have worked hard to reach this point and now it's up to them to see how far they will go. Today we took some hits as we had a handful of wrestlers end their season here at Sectionals but not without a fight! Coaches could not be more proud of their performance they displayed today.

Overall we placed 7th out of the 12 schools with 5 wrestlers placing for medal and 3 qualifying for Regionals.

126 lbs Aiden Capps - 3rd place Regional Qualifier
132 lbs Gage Sherwood - 3rd place Regional Qualifier
145 lbs Desmond Bex - 6th place
195 lbs Anthony Monaghan - 4th place Regional Qualifier
285 lbs Charlie Wadsworth - 6th place

Lincoln eagle wrestlers turnd the corner today! we as coaches seen each student athlete improve by leaps and bounds today some didn’t get resault they expected today we are a young team and we still have time to get there Aiden Capps finished fourth today Gage Sherwood finished fourth Dylan Cameron finished fourth Anthony Monaghan finished fourth and Charlie Wadsworth finished third and overall we finished 7th all I ask from these guys is effort and that’s what they gave today proud coaches!

Proud of our wrestlers today everyone fought hard and a few came up short!  Gage Sherwood @132 went 5-0 Riley Riggs 5-0 and Payton Gray went 5-0 we had a great day of wrestling.❤️
