We're truly saddened to share the passing of Michael "BMW, aka The Great Mike White" yesterday. Michael was 74 years young and joined our APA family in January of 2015. Beloved by his "Not Enough Cushion" teammates and incredibly well liked by all in his division, he always took the time to share a smile and positivity. Our condolences to all his loved ones. RIP

PRELIMINARY Schedules for the Tuesday and Wednesday divisions have been released. If you see something that is incorrect, please CALL the League office 805-388-2036. If your team is scheduled for a bye, your team is on "STAND-BY" and needs to be ready to play on short notice. This session will conclude just prior to Christmas.

FALL SINGLES REGIONAL
Due to the number of participants that qualified for the Fall Singles Regional, the fields had to be split as the Bakersfield location is not large enough to host everyone, so with the exception of the Blue Tier (players listed below) the Fall Singles Regional will take place locally, at Lucky Cue. 8-Ball on Saturday, October 3 and 9-Ball on Sunday, October 4. Qualified players should expect to receive an email from the National Office the first week of September.

Again, the following players will be participating in the Bakersfield regional (all others at Lucky Cue):

Patches were dropped off over the weekend. The drop included all patches earned through the end of the regular session. Patches earned during playoffs will be sent out with next sessions first drop.

Please be sure to pick up your team's patches and distribute them to your players. At the beginning of next season, we will pick up envelopes that have not been collected and recycle those patches.

UPDATE: PILOT / TEST OF TABLET DESIGN FOR SCOREKEEPER

Based on the feedback we’ve received, we have decided to participate as a pilot/test League area in the NEW tablet design for scorekeeper. We do ask if you encounter any issue(s), you let APA know asap. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated by the National office.

They will have an integrated information screen within the app to introduce the feature to you, allowing you to toggle the new design on for larger screens. You will see a video when you open the app.

ON A PHONE: A pop-up will let players know the tablet version is now available and it directs players to log in with a tablet to try it out. A blue “Got it” button will close the message.

ON A TABLET: You will be able to select a “try it now” button which switches you to the tablet view. A “Got It” button closes the message. The settings toggle only displays for devices that are compatible with tablet mode.

Yet more sad news to pass along. Manual Castro, 65 years young, has passed away. Manuel joined us in 2010 and was a SL6/7 who enjoyed the game and sharing his knowledge with his teammates and friends. He played mainly out of Paul's Tavern and Oh Grady's. RIP Manuel, you will be missed.
