LET's RALLY for BIG MATT
In January Matt was hit with COVID and out of work. Although he's back at work, he's unable to do everything he'd normally do and his hours have been reduced. In his recovery from COVID his diabetes has been completely out of control leaving little to no other option than to have bariatric surgery.
The surgery he will be having is a duodenal switch. Removing 80% of his stomach and the duodenal switch which is bypassing half of his small intestine. This is the most aggressive procedure for weight loss and diabetes control.
Matt's insurance covers a good portion of care which is fantastic however, it does not cover deductibles, co-pays and the after care education. Matt's words..."I'm just trying to hang on".
