🏁 Racer Spotlight: Arthur! 🏁

We’re proud to celebrate Arthur, one of our standout rally racers, who competed in the Historic Folsom District Rally last weekend!

Not only did Arthur place 4th on Saturday and 6th on Sunday, showing incredible skill and consistency on the track—but he also earned the Sportsmanship Award, a true honor that reflects his character off the track. 🏆

Sportsmanship is the heart of the derby. It means showing respect, lending a hand, cheering others on, and racing with integrity. Arthur’s positive attitude and support for fellow racers made a lasting impression and reminded us all what the International Soap Box Derby is really about.

👏 Way to go, Arthur! You’re a champion in every sense of the word.

🏁 Even though racing is on pause until next spring, our dreams are racing ahead! 🏁

This week we had the honor of welcoming Bill Forquer from Ohio to Stanwood Camano Island Soap Box Derby! Bill serves on the Board of Directors for the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron, and brought with him a wealth of insight and inspiration.

We exchanged ideas, shared a few of our race-day secrets, and talked about how to make next year’s event even more unforgettable. Bill’s visit reminded us why we love this sport so much—and why we’ve grown into the largest race in the country.

The countdown to next spring has begun, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds! 🏎️💨
