8U Gold Football 2023

Hi Everyone,

It has been an awesome football season and it is time to celebrate the boys efforts. We will conclude the season with a team party for the boys. We will have pizza/drinks, inflatable slide, trophies, and gifts for the boys. Everyone please attend even if your player was a partial participant, they're part of this team as well.

The party will be next Friday the 27th from 6pm-8pm at our practice field at the park. If you have any questions fell free to reachout.

Side note: Players will be returning equipment Monday the 23rd starting at 5:30 at the equipment building. Please understand that the park is requiring that all equipment be returned including Helmets, Shoulder Pads, Practice Jersey, Practice Pants, and Game Pants. If you can't make it Monday please contact the park to see what alternative dates may be avaliable. The statement has been made that if any equipment is not returned you will be responsible to pay for it next season before your player will be eligible to sign-up for next season.

Hi Everyone,

I hope all is well. We will unfortunately have no game this week. All games but the playoff games have been canceled.

We will be touching base with you all soon with a date for the team party. It will most likely be on a Friday night due to busy weekend schedules. It will be held at the park on our practice field.

Thank you again to everyone for volunteering and helping raise funds to make this season enjoyable for our boys. Already looking forward to next season. Go Warriors!

Hi Everyone,

I want to say thank you to everyone that is continuing to volunteer for these extra games. The kids wouldn't be able to continue to play a sport they love with out your help.

A few talking points for the game tomorrow:

- We will meet in our practice spot at 10:30 for our 11:30 home game.

- We will be wearing our Pink Jerseys and all our Pink accessories as well.

- Please hydrate your players today and feed them well in the morning before the game.

As for next week, I have been told we will be playing the Clay Chargers at our field but have yet to secure a time. As of right now, we are on the edge of having 16 players to play the game. We are required to have 16 players (minimum) for a regulation game. If we have less we should still be able to play but we would have to officially forfeit the game before we begin the game. If you have committed to playing the game next week please let me know if your plans changes. Thanks and Go Warriors!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was an awesome day for the boys. They have worked hard this year and deserved the big win to end the regular season.

Our week 8 game has been announced and we will be playing against Orange Park in Callahan (Home game) at 11:30 on Saturday. Our official Bowl game is still to be announced.

I will be reaching out to everyone individually to confirm who is committed to playing this week. We will only be having practice on Thursday this week to prepare for the game. Thank you and Go Warriors!

Hi Everyone, I hope all is well for you all. I wanted to send out the message early this week as a few things have changed.

- Game site has changed. We will be playing at Fernandina Beach High School this week. Address below:
435 Citrona Dr. Fernandina Beach 32034

- We will wear our Pink Jerseys for the game. It hasn't been confirmed if the other team is wearing pink jerseys but if they are, then we will just reverse to our black jersey. Wear ALL your pink accessories not matter what for breast cancer month.

- Be sure to hydrate well on Friday and eat well Saturday morning before arriving at 9am for our 10:30 am Game time.

- This will be our last official game of the season. We will have a game on the 14th and a Bowl game on the 21st (location and time TBD). These games will be optional for your player. If you know you're not attending OR planning to attend please let me know either way ASAP. I plan to field a team at those games for the players that wish to play as long as I have enough to field a team. Knowing who will be there will help me game plan a line up for those attending.

- For those attending the last (2) games we will only practice on Thursday before GameDay to prepare.

I have truly enjoyed getting to know these kids, working with all these boys and watching them grow as people and players. I am looking forward to next year already. Go Warriors!

Here is our October Calendar. This is going to be our last full week of practice. We will only have practice on Thursday's after this Saturday's game. We are waiting on game locations and times for the rest of this month. Once they let us know... you will be the first to know!

This week - I will post volunteers needed for this Saturday's game, Location address, what the boys need to wear and anything else we may need.

Hi Parents, the league has decided to give everyone an optional additional game for week 8 (not bowl game). We have opted to play the game as it would be an off week before our bowl game anyways. We should be finding out by the end of next week who our week 8 opponent will be. We will be paired against a team with the same or similar record. After our Week 7 game (next week's game) we will find out when/where our official bowl game will played and who our opponent will be.

In addition, we have the option to play in a "County Tournament" against Hilliard, Fernandina, and Yulee. I am confident we would fair well in this tournament but I think we will have too many boys that will be playing baseball by that time.

- We will be wearing our yellow home jerseys.
- Please hydrate the boys tonight and feed them well before the game in the morning.
- Games will be played on the back soccer field at the same time as the main field so parking will be tight.
