🏊 March Lifeguard Certification Course: Register NOW for prequalification swim!

💦Pre-Course Evaluation Date: Saturday, March 14 from 9:00-10:30am.

🗓Course Dates: March 30 - April 1.

🌊Registration is available for ages 15 and above. Attendance of all three course dates is required. This course is $275 for St. Mary's County residents and $280 for non-residents.

💦You must first register for the March 14 pre-course evaluation ($5 fee). This evaluation is required to demonstrate ability to perform class prerequisites. Upon successful completion of an evaluation, instructions will be provided to sign up for the full certification course.

Is anyone else over the ice and cold and already dreaming of summer? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Good news—it’s closer than you think! Planning has officially begun for the 2026 SMSL season. Save the dates: we kick off Monday, June 15th and finish strong with our Championship Invitational on Saturday, July 25th. More to come soon—stay tuned! 🏊‍♀️☀️

Mother Nature was on our side yesterday as the storms held out and we were able to get our annual SMSL Relay Carnival in with time to spare! All of our swimmers (and our amazing parent relay volunteers) did a fantastic job, but a special shout out to Elks for pulling out the win and taking home the SMSL Relay Carnival Hula Girl trophy!

Thank you to all the swimmers and parents who made the night a success, and another shout out and big thank you to Calvert County Parks and Recreation and Cove Point Pool for hosting us. All agreed this was one of the best Relay Carnivals in years…the smiles, laughter, and cheers throughout the night certainly proved it! 🏊‍♂️💙☀️

Congratulations to Forrest Farm swimmer Luke Thompson, winner of the 2025 SMSL League “Fun In The Sun” T-Shirt Design Contest! And a special thank you to our t-shirt sponsors, whose generous donations allowed us to provide all 600+ swimmers in the league with a shirt. We're excited to see the kids wearing them next week at the annual Relay Carnival and around town in the months to come!
