life during recovery ⬇️
Breaking the pattern of your everyday routine is very difficult to adjust to. Going from lifting consistently, on meal prep, very active and wanting to be moving around, to being in a back brace, on a strict weight restriction, and not being able to move normally was a big change in my life.
The immediate weight loss I had, followed by the loss of muscle mass is extremely discouraging. One thing I kept being told was that “muscle memory comes back fast” and that the time will fly by.
I’ve now been back to the gym for 4-5 months, and i’m not back to where i was, but i’m getting there and i’m content with knowing it’ll take work and time.
very blessed to have an able body, never take that for granted🙏
