If you want to run your business straight into the ground then by all means continue on your merry way 🫡

But if you want to see the POTENTIAL your business has????? LISTEN UP 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The times when my business has experienced income drops correlate exactly with one thing and one thing only:

Neglecting my self-care and stress management

Every single time I’ve found myself in a “funk” where I’m exercising less, I’m stressed about finances, I’m not sleeping well, or I’m binge watching some bu****it show on Netflix…my income has taken a hit.

Because it’s a domino effect.

When I stop prioritizing my self-care I lose my creative spark, I start taking action from that scary place of “how tf can I just make more money??,” and I don’t show up as strongly for my clients which means they’re not raving to their friends and family about my program.

I know running a business can feel scary. And like you should constantly be thinking about and doing work.

But the MOMENT in your entrepreneurial journey you realize that the KEY is taking care of you FIRST 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

You and your biz are gonna be UNSTOPPABLE!

And if you want accountability to help you not only put yourself first but set better boundaries, find self care activities that ACTUALLY help you show up in your biz better, and in turn level up your business…

I’ve got just the thing 🤭

Would you believe be if I told you that feeling a true sense of pride for my accomplishments is something I have rarely experienced in my life?

Take this picture for example.

My graduation day for my bachelor’s degree, which, in itself is an accomplishment.

But when that day came, all I could think about was how close I had been to NOT finishing school.

I was on academic probation and had a cumulative GPA of 1.5 after my first semester of college.

My sophomore year rolled around and I desperately tried to convince my parents to let me drop out and go to cosmetology school instead.

Truthfully, I didn’t even start enjoying the academic part of college until my senior year.

So by the time graduation rolled around, it felt like I had way more failures than successes. Way more moments of stress and grief than pride and joy.

Fast forward almost 10 years (YIKES 😂)

I now celebrate myself for things like hitting a quick 20 minute workout on a busy day, helping a client through a tough moment, or even just getting a full cycle of laundry done and put away.

Life is already hard enough as it is, you don’t need to make it harder on yourself by beating yourself up and discrediting your successes.

So here’s to celebrating your wins, no matter how small, and making a conscious choice not to let your failures outweigh your successes.

Did I mention that I have ONE primary goal this year?

It’s to better self-manage my ADHD.

Since January 1, 2024 I’ve been asking myself daily “what can I do to support my adhd brain today?”

And the results have been OUTSTANDING.

What I found was that for too long I was trying to do TOO MUCH.

I always had 5-10 different habits I was trying to build or routines I was trying to create.

So I wanted to experiment with something and see what happens when all of my actions focus around managing my ADHD symptoms.

And I can’t recommend it more.

I feel rested, energized, focused, happy, stress-free, low anxiety, productive, my impulse spending and skin-picking has decreased, I’m using my time more intentionally, and just generally feel like my best self. 🥹

I really never thought day-to-day life was ever going to feel easy for me.

Turns out I was just trying too hard to do too much!
