Our llamas were used this summer by Idaho Fish & Game to stock fish! Great people to work with!

Idaho Fish and Game stocks more than 30 million hatchery fish into Idaho waters each year, and uses all kinds of transportation to get fish to their final destination – including bikes, planes, and llamas.

I'm going to start posting more about our llama farm. We have 37 acres in Caldwell, Idaho (but it's really the Middleton Community). I'll start with sunrise and sunset on the farm.

This is one of my all-time favorite family photos. Our family of 8 is on a backpacking trip in Idaho. We had a mountain lake all to ourselves for four days. The entire time we saw maybe one or two people briefly hiking through. We managed this using llamas as pack animals. We had dutch ovens, pads, camping chairs, and all sorts of luxuries. It was akin to car camping in the wilderness, and our children loved it! Fast forward 15+ years, and now we rent high quality llamas and trailers so your family can do this too! Did you know we offer a Llama Ranch Experience? We have over 50 llamas on our Ranch! From small pens to large pastures, you'll get a wide range of experience. We get you up close and personal with Mamas and crias (baby llamas) in small pens, and then allow you to walk through the pasture and see our packing llamas in the Ranch setting. We teach you about llama care and handling, and give you a chance to walk a friendly llama. We'll do our best to answer any questions you have and let you take lots of pictures. Very unexpected surprise cria born on the farm this morning! I think we are learning how early these young llamas are viable. 😌 Basically teen pregnancy - from both dam and sire, as “near as we can figure”! Haha. But a miracle and very joyful, nonetheless. At my DIL’s work, a young eye therapy patient saw the picture and said we should name him Terrance. He said, “It’s not the best name, but it’s the right name.” 😅

Sasquatch has a new buddy in Forest! He and his family took the llamas on a backpacking trip today. We really love enabling family pack trips. 👏😃❤️
