Hardtimes Racing Hardtimes Racing is an IMCA modified racing team from Caldwell Idaho Our car is the #48 driven by David Soulek.

Hardtimes Racing is an IMCA open wheel modified racing team based out of Nampa and Challis Idaho. We race mostly at Blue Valor Speedway in Emmett Idaho, Atomic Motor Raceway in Atomic City Idaho, and Idaho Falls Raceway in Idaho Falls Idaho. We also race partially in the Wild West Modified Tour as well as all over the west. Follow our page for updates on our season and to buy our race team merchandise.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and all of us at Hardtimes Racing stand with everyone facing cancer of any kind. 🎀

This terrible disease has touched our family in more ways than one. Every cancer sticker on the #48 car holds a special meaning—a person we love, a battle fought, or someone we’ll always carry with us. Those stickers mean much more than a decal on a race car.

To everyone fighting, the families standing beside them, and those missing someone they love—we’re thinking of you. Your fight matters, and your loved ones will never be forgotten. ❤️🏁

🏆 BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPIONS! 🏆

After our final weekend of the 2026 season at Mountain Home Speedway, we’re proud to announce that the #48 car is officially the 2026 Mountain Home Speedway Modified Points Champion!

We used the weekend to experiment with the setup, learned a lot, and gathered some valuable information that will help us continue improving the car going forward.

Winning back-to-back championships means more than we can put into words. We know Dad is smiling down on us and celebrating right alongside the entire Hardtimes Racing family. ❤️

A HUGE thank-you to everyone at Mountain Home Speedway for all the hard work you put in throughout the season. We’re incredibly proud to call Mountain Home Speedway our home track!

We also want to thank every one of our amazing fans—whether you bought merchandise, followed and shared our posts, cheered us on from home, or showed up at the racetrack. Your support means the world to us, and we couldn’t do this without you!

We found Victory Lane last night, and now we’re ready for Night #2—the final race night of our 2026 season!

We made a few setup changes to find a little more speed in our slick-track package, and we’ve still got a few more ideas to try tonight. Come cheer on the Hardtimes Racing #48 as we battle through double main events to close out the season!

The 48 car is race-ready, and we’re getting ready to load it in the hauler! 🏁

It’s hard to believe championship weekend is already here. The season has flown by, and now we are ready for a big weekend at Mountain Home Speedway. We’re focused, prepared, and ready to give it everything we’ve got as we chase back-to-back championships.
