I managed to classify Gold in my first complete GPA match yesterday. I was slow as molasses but I scored well. This wasn't my best stage, but it's the only one I remembered to record :-) Just throwing it out there so I can look back and laugh once I find my Mojo, lol!

Hey All. Just a quick announcement. I'm taking some time off from teaching group classes to deal with some health issues. I'm still working with individuals and small groups in case you know anyone who wants some focused training at the beginner/intermediate level. I don't have the stamina to drag a bunch of props and steel out so the more advanced stuff will have to wait a few months while I heal up. Had a blast at the IDPA State Championship on Saturday. I may be old and slow, but I'm fast enough to have a good time :-) If you haven't experienced the "joy" of keeping it together after the timer starts, you should give it a try. It's a great way to test your skills under simulated pressure.

Monday Nights at Independence Indoor Shooting! Be there or be square. If you want to dip your toes in, we do a lot of this sort of thing in the Defensive Accuracy Workshop, and we have two coming up in May!

MGM Targets Steel rocks! Those poppers have been popped a lot! They’re like an old timex. Takes a licking’ and keeps on ticking. And I scored a new spinner for class today. I warned everyone they needed to bring extra ammo - those things can eat your lunch, lol!

Had a great group in class today and perfect weather! This is the ideal time of year - not too cold and not too hot. And it's a rare day at George Nourse Range when the wind isn't blowing a gale :-) The next couple of months should be pretty nice too. Join us!

Had a dedicated group yesterday! It looks nice and warm, but it was definitely not. Everyone got practice loading mags and shooting with numb hands :-) At least it wasn't snowing...

Oh-Dark-Thirty start this morning. 28 degrees with just a hint of moisture in the air. Good times! Where's global warming when you need it? :-J This was probably the last Defensive Accuracy class until spring (maybe...) so I pulled out all the stops and added an extra stage. I love this stuff...
