This is an awesome opportunity opening up for our area athletes!!

On Wednesday, the OVAC Executive Board unanimously approved the creation of a Girls Wrestling Tournament, beginning with this year's 72nd Annual Ron Mauck OVAC Wrestling Tournament in January 2026. The addition of Girls Wrestling now gives the OVAC 23 conference-sponsored team sports.

The inaugural Girls Wrestling Tournament will be held in conjunction with the Boys Tournament at the 72nd Annual Ron Mauck OVAC Wrestling Tournament on January 15-17 at WesBanco Arena. The girls will begin competition on Friday, January 16 and will have their finals alongside the boys on Saturday, January 17. It is expected that over 140 girls and nearly 20 teams in the OVAC will compete in the inaugural tournament this January. The competing weight classes will be 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, and 285 lbs.

The OVAC Wrestling community and the conference as a whole celebrates this momentous event and we look forward to crowning our first ever OVAC Girls Wrestling champions in January!

For all of our runners out there or for anyone just wanting to be festive and have some fun!!

Join us on Saturday, December 13th, as the Runnin’ Redskins host the 3rd Annual, “Oh What Fun it is to Run” 5k!! Be sure to wear those Ugly Sweaters because after the race, our athletes will choose the best 3 which will get a special edition Christmas sweater medal for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!!
