What a night! What a car!
Finally able to park it down front!

Not the night we were hoping for at Can-Am Speedway
Bike night and having the opportunity to make this little guy's day would be the highlight of our evening.
Rain, hail, high winds and cold temperatures would make for a tough night at the track.
A wrong tire choice in the heat would see us go
P4-p6. That would have us starting p16 for the feature.
Initially moving forward on the opening laps, we would make contact with another car, bending the front axle. We were able to continue and limped the car home p18.
If all goes well. We will have the new car done for next week.

We have really put in the hours in the shop to get this car going, and thankfully it can still be better. Big thank you to everyone who has helped this week getting things pointed the right direction.

Frank Sibley looked like he was going to add his name to the list of first time winners on this night as he led the 20 lap Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTCar Sportsman feature with last years runner up in point Richard Murtaugh right there with him. These two drivers were the class of the field, pulling away from the rest of the field as Gavin Eisele was also on the move charging to the number three spot On lap 11 Richard Murtaugh would move to the high lane and take the top spot away from Sibley, but in turn 3 Steve Roberts flipped several times, bringing out the red flag. Roberts climbed from the car uninjured and was done for the night. On the restart Murtaugh took the lead over Sibley and Eisele with Eric Nier close by in the number four spot. Despite a late charge by Frank Sibley, Richard Murtaugh was in control on this night, scoring his 5th career Can Am win and 1st of the season. Frank Sibley equaled his best career finish of 2nd, ahead of Eric Nier, Gavin Eisele and last week’s winner Tyler Stevenson.

Lead for half of the race and got passed for the lead just as the red flag came out at halfway. Just couldn't quite catch the 33 after that. Great run all night and definite progress. We'll take p2!

Ended our run on a bittersweet note. Another car got into our left rear in turn 1 and collected us into their spin on lap 1 of the LCS and a third car came into us and flipped over the top, landing on our roof. All drivers are ok, but our run is over.
