Dear EME Families,
I just want to update you on how things are looking as Covid has certainly put a damper on our previous and what would be current season. As of now we have not obtained a space to hold practices nor do we have a definite “go ahead” date for when we’d be able to resume. We are currently looking for a new coach and have been given a promising suggestion. We will do our best from here on out to keep you current on the standings of EME cheering. We will also be creating a new page as the current one is linked to Wendy’s (past president) account, but keep tabs on both because I’m sure she will share all the memories we’ve had as they pop up!
So verdict... as of now there will be no plans for 2021 cheering competitions. We are at a stand still as far as physically cheering. But we would love to keep the ball rolling in some way. We have open positions on our board, please message me if you are interested in attending meetings. We want to hear your feedback and suggestions and we want to keep in touch with all of our EME family. Don’t be shy to reach out, we hope to hear from you!

Goodbyes are hard....and this one especially hard. We said goodbye to our Head Coach Krystle Currier yesterday. Krystle has been head coach of both our squads for the last 4 seasons. She works tirelessly all year to plan our program and work with our teams. She gives up every Sunday from September through March for practice....did I mention she is a volunteer?? She has also served on our Board of Directors and as an Assistant Coach. We will miss her dedication, determination, friendship and passion for this program. We wish her well as she moves on to coach for Island Cheer!! We will miss you!!💜🎀

Today we said goodbye to our 8th graders Sydney, Brianna, MacKenzie and Kyndrah.

Sydney was new to us this year and brought so much s***k and energy. Always smiling and up for trying any stunt. We wish we would have had more time with this awesome cheerleader. 🎀

Brianna has been with us for 6 years and she is such an amazing cheerleader providing so much help to the newer girls. She is always willing to try new stunts and works hard until things look good! We know she will be a real leader on her high school squad as she is strong and determined to make our routines amazing. 🎀

MacKenzie and Kyndrah have cheered for Eastern Maine Elite for 7 years (the longest any girls have been on the squad before).

MacKenzie is a team leader who brings encouragement and dedication (she has never missed a single practice or team event in her whole 7 years). She is always ready to try a new stunt and has a great attitude...she is also our most accident prone 🤣. She is so excited to move on to high school cheering at MMHS!!

Kyndrah is a cheer coach in the making. Not only is she a team leader and organizes our pre-performance team huddle and pep talks but you should see this girl jump!!! Kyndrah helps the coach put together routines and is always coming up with creative ideas for the team to try! Good luck as you move on to Island Cheer. We will be rooting for you!

Good luck to all 4 of these girls! We will miss you all 💜🎀.

That’s a wrap for the 2019-2020 Season. Year end awards were today and it looked different than our typical end of the season celebration. It was great to see our girls even if just for a few minutes.

Stay tuned for details on our 2020-2021 Season. We are hoping to have a season and will update you all as soon we know more information.

We have been informed that due to the Corona Virus concerns our cheering competition scheduled for Saturday at the Cross Center has been postponed. Organizers are hoping to reschedule for a future date.
