Our team got on Lake Barkley early this morning for the first time this school year. It was nice to get all of the kids together and start the year with some fun fishing.

Friendly reminder that we will meet tomorrow evening for all students interested in joining the team this year. I will also have information for adults interested in volunteering as a boat captain.

This will be a short meeting to hand out Information, look at a tentative schedule, and answer any questions from parents. We will have a more in depth meeting about student expectations later once the team is finalized.

Excited for this fresh new look and to be representing our community, school, and team. Sometimes we forget how blessed we truly are to live in what many call a vacation destination. We have two beautiful lakes, a national park, and plenty of other opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

Congratulations to Gavin Schrock and Cash King for their 2nd Place finish in the KHSAA State Championship! Kentucky Lake proved to be a difficult place this week for most teams. Those two showed patience, focus, and fished hard for two straight days. That is remarkable for 7th graders and I couldn’t be more proud of them both.

Parker Hagewood and Eli Moore finished 38th out of 91 teams. They have qualified for state multiple years together and I look for them to continue getting better the next few years.
