“Our Player of the Week is Walker Fryar! Walker had a strong performance in our Central Academy League opener, scoring a hat trick while directing the defense and staying positionally sound throughout the match.”

He competes with grit, gives tremendous effort, and keeps working even when things get difficult. Most importantly, Lincoln is extremely coachable—he listens, accepts feedback, and immediately tries to apply it. His attitude, work ethic, and willingness to improve represent exactly what we want from our players.”

“Alex Aguilar is the U17 Player of the Week! Alex played with a ton of energy in a hard-fought match against the Searcy Rangers, and I was impressed with how he moved the ball around in the midfield”

“Jude Counts and Jesus Acosta were the U14 Dawg Daze Tournament MVPs.

Jude led our team in goals and was our offensive spark every time he was on the field. Jude’s versatility and overall soccer IQ makes him a player that any coach would dream of having.

Jesus was our leader on the back line and rock solid all tournament. The calming presence he provides the team with his consistent play is magnified by the vocal leadership he uses to support the other players. Defense wins championships and Jesus was outstanding.”

Your 2026 U14 Dawg Daze Champs.

AFC Cabot U14 boys want to give a special shoutout to our two guest players for the Dawg Daze Tournament, Aidan Fuller and Maxwell Fisher.

Aidan is an extremely talented player who helped lock down our defense and helped our team to get 2 shutouts and only allow 2 goals all tournament.

Maxwell is a special player who can really do it all. He worked extremely hard all weekend in multiple positions, giving the team whatever they needed to be successful. He capped the weekend off with a BANGER of a goal in the championship game!

Huge shoutout to our U14 AFC Cabot team for going 4-0 this weekend, with a 20-2 goal differential! Great way to start the season with a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!

“This week’s Player of the Week is Sutton Gosdin. Over the past two weeks, Sutton has embraced every challenge I’ve given him. In our friendly last week, he stepped in at center back and was phenomenal. This week, I moved him from center midfield to striker because I kept seeing his tenacity, eagerness, and relentless work ethic. That move paid off in our first game of the season, as Sutton scored two goals in about 10 minutes and gave our team a huge spark offensively. Beyond the goals, Sutton is an unselfish teammate who moves the ball well, makes the right pass, and always puts the team first. His versatility, attitude, and hard work make him a very deserving Player of the Week.” - Coach Garrett

“Miles Betzold is our Player of the Week after putting together an outstanding week from start to finish. He won our team juggling competition, earned Man of the Match, and was selected to captain our league match where he scored 2 goals while playing 56 minutes.” - Coach Mike

“Santiago Ramos is our Player of the Week! Santiago plays with so much tenacity and skill, and he’s truly a footballer to his core. Even though we lost our opening match 0–3, Santiago never stopped fighting. Playing center midfield, he was always the first one back on defense, while also being fearless going at defenders and winning the ball back. His skill and genuine joy for the game have also earned him an invitation to play with our U14 boys next weekend. Great job, Santiago!” - Coach Riley

“Christian Martinez is the U14 player of the week. He sets the tone as a leader with our team through his play on the field and his voice supporting his teammates. Christian leaves everything he has out on the field and is the ultimate competitor.“ - Coach Scott

Friendly reminder: With the season kickoff approaching this weekend, please remember to not yell at the players, referees, coaches, and especially assistant coaches!

We want to show all of our competitors that we at AFC Cabot are here to support our players, coaches, and referees!!

Thank you for all of your support, from summer training to the long nights at the fields. We appreciate each of you and look forward to giving everyone a great experience this 2026-2027 season!!
