The Center is home to the Byron Township Parks & Recreation Department, which was founded in 1971. It is perfect for a small meeting or a large event. See the forms and brochures for more details. Facilities available:

Gym - Basketball, Pickleball, etc

Byron Township has been invested in parks and recreation since the late 1970's and it has historically been balanced out of the township general fund. On the November 3rd ballot the township voters will be asked to consider a Parks & Recreation millage and ensure specific and guaranteed funding to help our parks, programs and pathways keep pace with the growth in our community.

Dog Park Update: We will be closing the large dog park area on Wednesday (Sept. 2nd) for about a week. We will be prepping and hydro-seeding. The plan is to put up a temporary fence around the freshly seeded area and open the remainder of the large dog area again. The small dog area will remain open throughout the project.

Updates will be provided as we work our way through this!

Do you think your chili is the best? Well here’s your chance to put it to the test 🌶️

Join members of the Kent County Sheriff's Office and Byron Center Recreation for a night of "Touch a Truck" (police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances, and more), plus games, crafts, & chili.

Free event for all ages (except for chili cook off)
$20 entry fee for each team
$5 sampling chili (day of the event)
